Tucson Rodeo Museum & Ignite Sign Museum Tour on March 23 2019
We had a great outing on Saturday, March 23. 45 folks enjoyed a guided tour of the Tucson Rodeo Museum. 23 cars made the trip to the
rodeo grounds---15 A's, 3 T's, 3 modern cars and a Bentley. The weather was perfect, and the crowd enthusiastic. Bob Stewart,
Chairperson, spoke for 2 hours and proved to be very interesting, knowledgeable and proud to show off the collection of antiques and
memorabilia. Everyone found something to marvel at, reminisce over, or discover---did you know the Cisco Kid was 5' 1" tall??? The
museum folks were gracious hosts, and even provided a "guard" to watch over our cars.
Afterwards, we adjourned to American Eats where we had a wide variety of food styles to choose from, and a private room reserved for us.
Sated and smiling, we next went to the Ignite Sign Art Museum. It was quite a contrast to the morning's scene, and once again were
treated to a guided tour by a person of experience and knowledge. Jude Cook was fun to listen to as he showed off his collection of
unusual, antique, or just quirky signs. Lots of "what fun" comments were heard during the course of the day.
