Mt. Lemmon Lunch - August August 24,2014
Mt. Lemmon Outing
August 2014
What a beautiful day greeted everyone who attended this year's Mt Lemmon outing. The
drive up the mountain provided views of green hills and trees as a result of the much
needed rains. This year our lunch was at the Mt. Lemmon fire department with views of
the hills and the valley looking towards Oracle. Out thanks to Chief Randy Ogden for
once again opening the fire station for this outing, the firefighters who set up tables and
chairs on the apparatus bay and for providing a tour to the younger kids, There were 57
members and guests who enjoyed the great barbeque beef provided by the club and all
the wonderful dishes to share that were brought by our members. The group “Southern
Comfort” provided music during and after lunch. (4) Model A’s made it to the top of the
mountain and (1) suffered a mechanical problem at the base of the hill. Many thanks to
Linda Kent for preparing the BBQ beef and Lynn Thim for gathering all the items
necessary for this outing. As always, a big thank you goes out to you, our club members,
who make putting on an outing a fun and rewarding experience.
