Progressive Dinner - April 22, 2018

We had a “Chamber of Commerce Day”, not too hot and just a few clouds for the 2018 Progressive Dinner which featured starters and salads
at the home of Mike and Ann Liebert, with the second stop at Andy Neal Jr’s unique car storage “building” constructed with shipping
containers for a delicious fried chicken entree supplied by the Tucson original and well known Lucky Wishbone and many sides provided by
club members. The third stop had a large variety of desserts served at Joe Findysz's newest car storage building adjacent to his corporate
offices behind his 22nd street ACE Hardware store. We had 46 hungry folks at the Liebert’s with 14 Model A’s, 3 Model T’s, 3 Classic/Vintage
cars and 7 Modern cars. The second stop at Andy’s proved to be the favorite (in spite of the anticipated great variety of desserts) with 62
folks attending including many Model T Club members. A special thanks to Andy Neal Sr. and his wife Anita for filling in for Andy Jr. who was
off speedster racing. The count declined to 50 at the dessert stop and those who didn’t make it missed some of Joe’s very special cars as
well as the most amazing collection of ACE Hardware memorabilia started by Joe’s father in the late 1940’s. We had three special guests,
Sammy Guthrie, the owner of Arizona Model A drove down from Chandler with two Model A owners from England. Only one minor mechanical
issue occurred with a loose electrical connection on a Model A traveling between Andy’s and Joe’s garages. Thanks to all who brought many
delicious food items for the Club to enjoy. It was a fun day for all.
