Holiday Banquet  - December 7, 2014

On a beautiful Arizona morning we all, approximately 93+/-, gathered at the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch on Sunday, December 07, 2014, and enjoyed all of the scenery, wonderful food and service they have to offer. The renewing of old friendships and new acquaintances is always an enjoyable time.

Benice Edwards said a prayer asking for a blessing for members and for food and then she read over the list of our members that have past away this year.

The food line opened and it got silent for a while. After everyone had made through the line 2 or 3 times and had plenty of desserts we all settled down to business.

Recognition and a big thank you was given to all that served as an outing chairperson and/or served as an officer &/or board person this past year.

Participation awards were handed out by Rey Brown to all the members that participated by attending the outings and meetings.

Betty Trimble and Cathy Parsons and the team of Happy Holiday Elves handed out the banquet favors to every An award was given out to Ernie & Ann Williams for participating in the November outing and getting all 29 answers correct. They received a North Pole and a compass.

The Sam Doty Award was presented to Gary and Laura Roberts for there past, present and continuous participation in the club.

A recommendation for the 2015 officers and board members was presented in the program. A call for a volunteer for the Presidents position was announced and we got a volunteer. Dan Osterman. A motion was made to accept the slate of officers, it was seconded, voted on and passed.

I was presented with a Past President plaque.

It was also asked if the club would like to return to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch next year and everyone said yes.

As always,

All in all, a good time was had by all!! Shorty Allison
